Job Description

Company Summary

Transak is a developer integration for a fiat-to-crypto payment gateway. This solves the important problem of allowing mainstream people and businesses to access crypto and blockchain. It does this by integrating local compliance, payment methods, and liquidity from around the world. Transak is backed by top VCs such as ConsenSys.

The Head of Marketing will ultimately be responsible for the cohesive development, marketing and communication of the Transak brand, as well as implement marketing strategies that lead to revenue impact. Using a data-driven approach to measure success and ensure growth, the HM will work alongside Senior Managers in the Sales and Partnerships teams to implement campaigns that immediately result in the commercial success of the company and create hyper growth.

Responsibilities
Create a formal marketing/communications strategy for Transak to oversee the launch of reactive, effective campaigns that directly increase transaction volume and revenue
Seek out new marketing opportunities that fit with the brand and maximizing all opportunities for growth, including but not limited to, referral programs, offline marketing
Support Partners in their marketing campaigns including giving them Transak brand guidance, strategic advice on implementation of campaigns, and negotiation of budget in order to increase their volumes
Generate leads for Sales in targeting high-level decision makers such as CEO’s, heads of business units through content and events
Generating quality leads for Sales through various campaigns such as hosting events, creating content, sponsoring events, partnering with affiliates, and other online and offline tactics
Engagement and Retention of current and past customers, including re-marketing and nurture campaigns
Creating an enduring brand message that results in increased sales, brand loyalty and improving market share.
Develop high level messaging per quarter that tied to business goals including fundraising, customer acquisition, hiring, and expansion across press, speaking, and thought leadership
Manage social media platforms according to our marketing strategy.
Activities
Direct Marketing
Sourcing and managing external agencies and ensuring marketing budgets are met
Leverage customer research (quantity and quality) to provide strategic leadership for marketing positioning
Work with the analytics and sales operations team on monitoring conversions and providing reports regarding traffic and conversion to inform product and marketing decisions
KPI’s will be determined quarterly and be dependent on the number of leads generated and conversions of leads into qualified leads and customers
Developing and execute the paid acquisition and re-engagement strategy, spanning paid social, display, ad networks and direct partnerships
Assist in forecasting and management of a budget based on CPA, ROI and LTV targets.
Commissioning, editing and optimizing for SEO external content, website optimization for acquisition.
Content Owner of Public Pages,
Shared responsibility with Project Owner of Public Pages to optimize customer behavior and optimize bounce rate
Developing high quality and effective external marketing materials that align correctly with the overall brand strategy.
Work with Sales Operations to create a standardized set of materials and storytelling script for current and future clients and coordinate its implementation across sales channels, client management, and marketing and communications
Includes for specific events and offline marketing initiatives
Performance marketing tasks including working with digital advertising agency to execute on the following:
Devise and test creatives and targeting, optimise campaign performance to hit target KPIs and scale successful channels.
Monitor growth metrics across the customer lifecycle, pitch and contribute to projects and processes to drive improvements in conversion rates.
Support tracking implementation and troubleshooting
Present performance reports on growth marketing activities and KPIs to the company.
Branding
Analyze the brand and current strategy and highlight areas of weaknesses or conflicting messages.
Creating a brand plan and brand strategy and ensuring all aspects of the product or companies marketing and activities align with the ethos and goals of the brand.
Championing the brand internally making not only sure all elements of the company understand the brand and its goals, but also they are communicating it through correctly through their personal brands and use of collateral
Ensuring consistency around messaging across campaigns
Communications
Developing and sustaining strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including external PR agency, media, and event organizers and influencers.
Find the appropriate channels for messaging including press, speaking, and thought leadership.
Make sure that messaging on panels and keynotes is directly aligned with sales and brand focuses
Work with administration team to manage communications calendar and external speaking engagements for exec team (identify events to target and/or avoid as well as key messages to communicate)
Thought Leadership: Ghostwriting for executives that bring greater awareness with potential investors and other high-level stakeholders
Work with the CEO and Head of Revenue to create long term key messaging by the quarter that will trickle down to all communications and press campaigns
Requirements
Crypto/DeFi knowledge and expertise, vision and passion for the industry
Minimum of 5-10 years experience in a relevant role (crypto, FinTech, financial services).
Ability to understand and help promote our customer-centric vision.
A quantitative individual with a love for numbers and data analysis.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), public speaking, negotiation, and listening skills.
Creative problem solver with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Excellent organizational skills ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Advanced Microsoft Office and Google Suite Tools skills and experience in using CRM software.
Hubspot Marketing tool experience would be ideal.
